MMRF 5K Race 2013

The MMRF race went well this year, no rain and a nice sunny day by the ocean. We could see extra security all around the event after the Boston bombing.

We met up with a group of our friends and fellow Multiple Myeloma survivors. This year our friends Allan & Barb had their own tent with snacks and refreshments.

Theresa and I walked in the 5K race led on by “Quinby”, this is his second year! Next year he will be able to run with us, or we with him!

I’m feeling well. However, with my testing numbers starting to creep up slightly, I’ve restarted my chemotherapy again. This time I’m on a much lower “Maintenance” dosage.

Everything else is in transition mode as winter has finally released its grip on the Northeast; so we are transitioning over to spring by getting our house in Lynn spruced up and winding down the farm in Vermont. It was a great winter of skiing and we enjoyed the company of all of our friends and their families staying with us.

Personally, I set an all time record of skiing 68 days! Not bad for an “Old-Timer”!

That’s all for now….Chemo Ken & the Red Dogs
