Getting Close to Race Day!

Hello to everyone… Thank you for all your generous donations to the MMRF, we are getting closer and closer to our target of $1,000 every day, as of this morning we have hit the $615 mark. The 5K race day is also getting closer, just 3 more days till Saturday the 15th. Quinby and I are training (See picture) Theresa and Quinby will be my on site support team!
Murphy’s going to sit out the race at home, enjoying the peace and quiet I’m sure!

My day for surgery is getting closer as well. I’m going in on Thursday the 20th; I’ll be in the hospital for a couple of days. It will be nice to have this behind me and have a few months break from going in and out of hospitals. Theresa and I are looking forward to some quiet time in Vermont.

That’s all for now……

Good Morning Boston!

Hello, I hope everyone had a great summer! It went by so fast it's hard to believe we are entering Fall!

I made a decision on my Prostate Cancer, after examining all of my options, Radiation just wasn't an option for me. I'll be having a Radical Prostatectomy on September 20th at my second home, The Brigham Woman's Hospital.

In the mean time, I'm going to Run/Walk in a 5K road race in Boston on Saturday 9/20 to support the (MMRF)The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. The MMRF has raised more than $17 million to support there important research for multiple myeloma cures and early detection. Since this disease is currently not curable, it's a cancer I'll have to live with for the rest of my life. I'm just not going to give up, I'm going to fight this disease as long as I live.

If you would like to help me reach my fund raising goal of $1,000 then you can visit my race web site at:
